FLB 226 Diagnosis and Treatment Planning II
This course consists of a series of lectures that expand upon the basic, introductory Diagnosis & Treatment Planning lecture given during the in-processing week of the residency. These lectures will provide a more detailed description of diagnostic nomenclature and problem-oriented treatment planning options as they relate to the three planes of space and the Ackerman-Proffit diagnostic categories. Problems in the transverse, vertical and antero-posterior planes, as well as alignment & symmetry of dental arches and facial proportions & esthetics problems, will be described. In addition, how these categories inter-relate in the development of treatment planning decisions tailored to the individual patient will be described and discussed.
