FLB 304 Risk Management/Ethics

Expose the resident--via course lectures--to issues involving workplace safety, quality assurance and risk management, quality improvement, dental clinic, treatment of medically compromised patients, military law, medical legal risk management, social actions and substance abuse. They will also be exposed to ethical principles in orthodontics by use of the ethics videotape series and manual from the AAO, which consists of approximately 10 hours. The residents should be aware of their ethical responsibilities as orthodontists in order to represent our specialty to the public.
