NEU 4110 Child Neurology Clerkship
The Child Neurology Clerkship is a combination outpatient and consultation service where students evaluate and manage patients as part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of other medical students, residents, nurses, therapists, pharmacists, and staff members. Students participate in teaching rounds and conferences at WRNMMC and have required virtual didactic sessions on Wednesday afternoons hosted by USU billeted faculty. Students may be required to attend clinics at satellite locations with the child neurology attending or fellow. Students are required to meet the same objectives as those on the adult service, which includes seeing the nine Core Patients and submitting a written assignment on two of them. Slight variations in the core patient list applicable to child neurology will occur. Students must also pass a written examination and their end of month Clinical Performance Evaluation.
