NURS 6621 Application of Advanced Diagnostic & Therapeutic Approaches

This course develops advanced practice nursing students in preparation for primary care clinical practice across the life span. Students will acquire additional skills and procedures necessary to conduct advanced assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, develop nuanced differential diagnoses, select appropriate primary diagnoses and skills in the management of complex disease processes managed within primary care and family health clinical practice. Management of individuals and populations in the military health system, deployed, humanitarian and austere conditions are emphasized within the course curriculum.
