OPMS 5003 Leadership & Teamwork in Biomedical Sciences & Public Health Professions
This course is designed to contribute to the development of
adaptive leaders and committed professionals serving in healthcare professions. This
course is based on the USU Leader-Follower Framework; it's designed with the learner
in mind to deliver a personalized learning experience intended to equip students with
the relevant perspectives and skills needed to confront the challenges inherent in the
contemporary health care environment as both a ieader and a follower. Learners wili
receive detailed feedback from classmates/peers and USU-trained leadership coaches.
Learners in this course will develop as leaders and professionals through increases in
their self-awareness, emotional intelligence, understanding of group dynamics and
leading teams, and greater appreciation of their multiple professional roles to create
value for the learner, their team, and their organization.
