PMO 862 Independent Student in Global Heath (IDS)
Under the mentorship of a faculty member, students will conduct an independent research or study project in the area of global health. The objective is to acquire specific skills or deepen their understanding of the multidisciplinary aspects of the field. Often the research or study will involve an actual operational problem of a DoD, domestic, foreign, or international organization that has significant impact in the global health area. There will be requirements for outside reading and collaboration with at least one other organization or academic institution. Enrolled students must submit a study plan to the course instructor for approval at the beginning of the term. Credits are assigned commensurate with the complexity of the plan.
