RBB 802 Restorative Dentistry 2
This course consists of didactic and clinical instruction in direct operative procedures and direct restorative materials. Restorative Dentistry Course 802 builds upon the first year experience through literature reviews and participatory activities such as seminars, hands on courses and lecturing to first year residents on a variety of restorative dentistry subjects. Areas covered include advanced direct operative procedures and the use and evaluation of restorative materials new to the market. Topics include controversy over the use of amalgam and amalgam alternatives, posterior composite restorations, and new developments in tooth-colored restorations. In addition, second year residents present an advanced restorative case to faculty and fellow residents.
