HPE 604 Rhetoric and Academic Writing Seminar
This course is designed to enhance learners’ academic writing and communication skills through the study of writing techniques and the principles of rhetoric. By exploring both the structure of effective academic writing and the persuasive strategies of rhetoric, learners will learn how to craft well-supported arguments and tailor their writing to engage specific audiences. Through a series of assignments, learners will critically evaluate research writing, participate in peer review processes, and refine their own writing. The course emphasizes the development of clear, cohesive, and compelling arguments while encouraging thoughtful engagement with academic sources. Learners will gain the tools needed to express their ideas with precision, clarity, and rhetorical effectiveness in various academic contexts.
