NDTS 1401 Fundamentals of Neurodiagnostics
This course is designed to provide the learner with a theoretical and practical understanding of the NDT field, and to prepare the learner to initiate the head measurements and electrode application required to perform the electroencephalograph (EEG) recording. Significant topics include infection control principles, basic patient interaction, application of the International 10-20 system of electrode placement, electrode types and application techniques. Also covered are the fundamentals of EEG instrumentation, post-acquisition digital manipulations and troubleshooting. Includes the fundamentals of electricity and electrical safety as well as the manipulation of digital EEG settings to obtain a quality recording.
