RAD 5000 Radiology Independent Study
The Independent Study course code may be used to support unique, one-time course experiences sponsored by a SoM Department for an individual student. For example, a singular rotation at USU in Radiology and/or Bioengineering, a rotation at a military research laboratory, or an experience overseas. Per SoM policy, this is not a designated research rotation. All research rotations are captured under the Capstone program. Each department has a unique Independent Study course code designed for this purpose. The Independent Study course code can also be used to allow a student to participate in a new ACR if it has been approved by the Executive Curriculum Committee, but not yet published in the University catalog for the applicable time frame. In all cases, individualized goals and objectives will be developed in advance and both the sponsoring Department and the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) will need to approve the use of the Independent Study course code for a given student before a student can register in MedHub, using this option.

Notes
