ETAL 1101 Instructional Methodology for ETAL
This course is the first of a 3-course sequence in Instructional Methodology. This introductory course is designed to prepare subject matter specialists to teach at the tertiary level. It focuses on characteristics of the adult learner and methods of teaching appropriate to higher education. The course is designed for those without an extensive education background, and for this reason, in addition to teaching methods, it addresses administrative topics such as instructional planning and design, curriculum, course outlines, lesson planning, evaluation, and the selection and preparation of learning materials and practices in adult phases of instruction: pre-planning, unit and lesson planning, and post-lesson activities.
