FLB 116 Biomechanical Principles

A series of lectures on basic biomechanical principles and concepts is offered. During this course, the relationship between physical laws and biological principles is emphasized. The clinical application of these principles in orthodontic and orthopedic movements is also described. The course also emphasizes how treatment planning, appliance selection, and orthodontic mechanotherapy for maximum efficiency must be based on sound biomechanical principles.
