NDTS 2506 Nerve Conduction / Electromyography

This course covers an in depth introduction to the Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) modality. It is designed to provide the participant with a baseline set of terms to help prepare the Neurodiagnostic Technologist to add nerve conduction studies to their technical skills. It is designed to develop skills to perform upper and lower extremity NCS studies with an understanding of the relevant anatomic nerves and landmarks. Applied laboratory practice will allow for competence with applying instrument setting, measurement techniques, and electrode placements, muscles/nerves involved in the testing and the testing steps and procedures.
