2021-2022 Academic Catalog

RBB 103 Clinical Photography

Residents learn the principles of intra-oral photography and are required to take a full series of clinical photographs on all assigned comprehensive care and orthodontic patients, on a majority of their periodontal and prosthodontic patients and on interesting or unusual cases. Residents also learn how to transfer digital images from a camera’s memory card to a computer and how to modify their photographs to make them more diagnostic and suitable for display. They also learn how to incorporate their photographs into PowerPoint presentations for case presentations and how to print out copies of their photographs on high quality photographic paper using a color printer. They are also expected to include high quality, printed copies of their pictures in their residency portfolios.
