RHT 2305 Radiation Protection and Program Administration

In this course the student learns the fundamental principles and theory of radiation protection
and associated radiation monitoring programs. Topics include management of pregnant
workers, regulatory agencies, dose units; source of radiation; biological effects and risk; dose
limits; applications of external and internal dosimetry; shielding and atmospheric dispersion;
radiological controls; performing dose estimate calculations and data entry into computerized
dose recording systems.
