SURI 3309 Clinical Medicine IV
This course provides instruction on structural and functional organization of the hematologic, lymphatic, and immune system in addition to the endocrine system. It requires students to assess diagnose, and formulate treatment plans for disorders of the hematologic, lymphatic, immune, and endocrine systems. Topics include types of blood groups, the mechanisms to prevent blood loss and disorders of the lymphatic system. This course also focuses on the organization of the endocrine system, the relationship between the hypothalamus and the pituitary gland, functions of the thyroid, parathyroid, pancreatic islets, and adrenal glands.
