EID 506 Microbial Genetics and Physiology
This course emphasizes experimental approaches used to address genetic questions in bacterial and viral systems. Students are expected to develop an extensive understanding of basic molecular genetics in bacterial and viral systems and learn how to apply experimental molecular genetic approaches to solving problems. Topics will include mechanisms of gene transmission and inheritance, gene expression and regulation, mutagenesis, and genomic analysis.
