FLB 100 Infection and Hazard Control
This course is a series of lectures about infection control procedures in the dental treatment room (DTR), dental laboratory, and operating room. Blood-borne pathogens, barrier techniques, material safety data sheets (MSDS) and OSHA regulations are covered and emphasized. This course is part of the 3-week orientation, which all dental residents and fellows attend prior to beginning their individual programs. Infection and hazard control briefings continue throughout the residency.
