BCO 522 Biochemistry II

This course, primarily taught by the Biochemistry department faculty, is comprised of a series of lectures covering the key concepts of Biochemistry followed by three sessions involving discussion of manuscripts pertaining some of those topics. The objectives of this course are to enable the graduate students to gain an understanding of the basic concepts of biochemistry that are essential for their research career in any area of biology and to gain experience in reading, interpreting and critically analyzing the data in published literature on biochemistry related topics. This graduate level course assumes a background in chemistry and biology.  BCO522 follows BCO520.  BCO520 – Biochemistry-I and BCO522 – Biochemistry-II together cover all the essential Biochemistry topics.
