CCCF 772 Oral Pathology 1
This course consists of a series of lectures and computer based self-paced classes on oral embryology and cytology; developmental disturbances; benign fibro-osseous lesions; odontogenic cysts; odontogenic tumors; vesiculobullous disease; mucosal lesions; salivary gland diseases; salivary gland tumors; radiographic interpretations; oral manifestations of systemic disease; oral cancer; bone neoplasms; soft tissue neoplasms; oral syndromes and infectious and communicable diseases. The formal lectures will be presented during the Oral Pathology Review Course. Using radiographic, clinical and histological information, residents are expected to comment and establish differential diagnoses of major pathological conditions and developmental disturbances of the head and neck. This is to reinforce the principles and knowledge gained throughout their dental career.
