MEM 3100 Emergency Medicine Selective

The selective in emergency medicine is designed for students seeking to explore the specialty of emergency medicine as a potential career. The rotation consists of clinical shifts in busy civilian and military emergency departments around the country. Didactic and clinical experiences are combined with written reflective assignments. It affords students the chance to learn about the evaluation and management of emergency patients, of all ages and demographics, while gaining insight into many aspects of the clinical practice of emergency medicine. Students are expected to attend any local didactics, procedure labs and/or grand rounds.
