MEM 6820 USU Integrated Army Medical Department (AMEDD) Basic Officer Leaders Course
The
MEM 6820 course, USU Integrated Army Medical Department (AMEDD) Basic Officer Leaders Course (BOLC), is designed to prepare AMEDD officers with a professional foundation in the AMEDD's Leader Development Program. BOLC training develops the following characteristics and skills in officers' competency to perform Officer/Soldier skills to standard in accordance with Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Regulation (TR) 350-10, Institutional Leader Training and Education; an understanding of Army organizations, operations, procedures; an ability to apply the concepts of force health protection and leader skills, to include an ability to analyze and solve military problems; an ability to communicate, interact and coordinate as a staff member; warrior skills for the operating environment; and AMEDD-specific training which occurs in Department of Military and Emergency Medicine curriculum and the School of Medicine Office of the Commandant professional officer development program.
