NDTS 2901 Neurodiagnostic Clinical Practicum I
This course is the first in a series of two clinical practicum courses. Each course requires and builds upon the application of instructional material presented in all previous courses. Successful completion of this course requires mastery of all procedures within standards and under direct supervision of a credentialed Neurodiagnostic professional. Mastery that must be demonstrated within the course of clinical practicum studies includes adult and neonatal/pediatric electroencephalograms. Training is conducted at various participating military and civilian hospitals in San Antonio, Texas. Clinical practice in Neurodiagnostics to include observation, application of electrodes, performance of electroencephalographic testing, clinical history taking. Graduates of the Clinical Rotation are expected to perform as an entry-level Neurodiagnostic Technologist.
