PMO 651 Human Factors Engineering
This course is a practical introduction to the application of human physical, perceptive and cognitive abilities and behaviors, human performance engineering design criteria, and human factors principles and practices to the design of systems, subsystems, equipment and facilities. Particular emphasis is placed on the challenges of integration of the human to the machine and machine to human. Topics include basic human factors research and design methods, perception, cognition, information reception and processing, decision theory, memory, judgment, performance capabilities and limitations in human-machine systems.
