URT 3303 Clinical Urology
This course introduces students to the theory and practice in performing selected urine tests, seminal fluid analysis, and performing adjunct laboratory tests in the clinical setting. Describes the indications, contradictions, and adverse results from each laboratory tests. Provides an in-depth coverage of voiding disorders, and their causes and treatment modalities, both non-invasive and surgical. A discussion of genitourinary trauma and appropriate medical/surgical interventions. Implications, indications, contradictions for each selected minor surgical procedures, often performed in a urological clinical setting. To include minor surgical/urologic equipment and instrumentation.
