PMO 1039 Population Health Informatics

This course introduces students to the foundational principles and applications of public health and population health informatics, with a particular focus on its relevance within the Military Health System (MHS). Students will explore the use of information systems and technology to enhance population health, improve healthcare delivery, and inform public health decision-making. Key topics include data collection and analysis, health information exchange, interoperability, and the role of informatics in disease prevention and policymaking. The course integrates real-world case studies to provide a contextual understanding of how informatics supports MHS goals.
