MLTS 1301 Introduction to Medical Laboratory Science
This course provides a comprehensive foundation for students entering the Medical Laboratory Science field. Students will gain an understanding of the scope of clinical laboratory science, and essential learning and study techniques. The curriculum covers the Air Force Medical Service standards of customer service, career progression within the 4T0X1 specialty, and an introduction to the Airman career ladder and educational opportunities. Furthermore, the course provides an introductory overview of human anatomy and physiology, including the organization and function of the circulatory, lymphatic, skeletal, muscular, integumentary, nervous, endocrine, renal, digestive, and respiratory systems.
