Some of the procedures students will see include: angiography, venography, lymphangiography, stenting, embolization, angioplasty, thermal ablation, biopsy, and drain placement. The IR rotation is a hands-on experience. Students will be an active member of the team, assisting with procedures and evaluating patients in both the in-patient and outpatient settings.
