FLC 104 Research Methodology
Training in research methodology, biostatistics, and application of evidence based principles are the focus of this course. Students learn the basics of parametric and non-parametric statistics, analysis of variance, post-hoc tests, and the scientific inquiry process. This course, taught by members of both the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD-2) and orthodontic faculty, focuses on gaining an overall understanding of the statistical aspects of research. Following this course, the residents initiate their own Masters level research projects under the supervision of the Director of Dental Research and assigned faculty members within the orthodontic residency, culminating with the completion of the bibliography, introduction for a masters level research project.
