NSO 902 Introduction to Research in Neuroscience
This course will provide an opportunity for first year students to discuss ongoing research projects with faculty of the neuroscience program. The objective is to provide students with the interactions necessary to make informed choices in the selection of laboratories in which to perform subsequent research as rotations or thesis projects. The course consists of an introductory session which will discuss criteria for evaluating research programs followed by sessions focusing on the research projects ongoing in individual laboratories. The sessions will consist of faculty research presentations and discussion of faculty research papers. Prior to each session. all students will be expected to have read at least one recent paper from the presenting faculty member.
