RGE 3228 Microsurgical Technique Course/Suturing Technique Course II

The Endodontic surgical technique course is designed to give the Endodontic Residents practical experience in endodontic surgical procedures utilizing extracted teeth mounted in surgical denta-forms and/or a surgical plaster/pumice cast. During the second year of the residency, the R2s are responsible for providing one-on-one instruction to the R1s. Presenting lectures on surgical techniques and biology behind Endodontic microsurgery. The technique course is used in conjunction with the Surgical Operating Microscope. The course affords the resident an opportunity to get experience with the surgical equipment and materials prior to the actual clinical experience. At the completion of the surgical technique course the resident will complete the suturing technique course. The Suturing technique course precedes the Endodontic microsurgical technique course.
