NURS 8912 Dissertation Research
The purpose of this course is for the candidate, under the direction of their Chair and Committee, to conduct the research process from proposal through the development and conduct of their research study. This course offers skills and experiences in the conduct of the dissertation research project. The focus of the didactic seminar is to provide socialization to doctoral study and the research environment, foster students’ development as researcher, and facilitate immersion into the research process. This class intends to build a community of researchers willing and able to support each other in the development of research plans and will encourage discourse across diverse research projects from various subfields of nursing science. The Dissertation Chair will be actively involved as the student progresses through course.
