NURS 7512 Child and Adolescent Mental Health
This course provides students with an in-depth understanding of pediatric mental health care, addressing the common mental health diagnoses of ADHD, Behavioral problems, Anxiety, and Depression. It encourages critical thinking and problem-solving skills to develop evidence-based treatments related to operational, humanitarian, and homeland defense health risks. The course focuses on the scientific underpinnings of practice, theories, interventions, mental health screening, health promotion, and inter-professional collaboration.
