COMR 714 Prosthodontics 1
This course is designed to increase the resident’s competence in fixed, removable, and implant prosthodontic therapy. Residents will learn current concepts as well as diagnostic and laboratory principles during didactic sessions. Resident skills are refined in comprehensively assessing appropriate patient data, developing relevant prosthodontic treatment plans, and providing state of the art prosthodontic treatment. Prosthodontics Course 401 lectures include treatment planning, impression making, diagnostic mounting, removable dental prostheses survey and design concepts, occlusion, tooth preparation, provisional restorations, implant restoration, complete dentures, overdentures and immediate dentures. First year residents also complete a laboratory course in full cast gold crown and pressed all ceramic crown fabrication and a combined clinical and laboratory course in complete denture fabrication and delivery.
