MLTS 2504 Hematology Practicum
This course provides clinical rotation training in routine and specialized hematology, coagulation, and body fluid analysis within a Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) environment. It focuses on automated analyzer operations, maintenance, and quality control; microscopic evaluation of blood cell morphology and differential counts; specialized hematology procedures including sickle cell, reticulocyte, ESR, and malarial testing; routine and specialized coagulation testing; semen, CSF, and body fluid analysis; and strict adherence to quality assurance, laboratory safety, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) protocols.
