FKA 114 Prosthodontics 1

The prosthodontics portion of the two year advanced general dentistry residency program consists of didactic and clinical instruction in fixed, removable and implant prosthodontics. The course reinforces and builds upon the foundational prosthodontics learned and retained from dental school and AEGD-1 residencies. Prosthodontics I lecture topics include prosthodontics treatment planning, impression making, diagnostic mounting, removable dental prostheses survey and design concepts, occlusion, tooth preparation, provisional restorations, implant restoration, restoration of endodontically treated teeth, complete dentures, overdentures and immediate dentures. Prosthodontics I offers 200 hours of clinic time throughout the first year where residents refine skills in comprehensively assessing appropriate patient data, developing relevant prosthodontics treatment plans and providing state of the art prosthodontics treatment.
