PRC 2003 Neuroscience and Behavior Module

In the neuroscience and behavior module students learn to apply basic science and clinical concepts to the recognition and treatment of neurologic and psychiatric conditions, with a particular emphasis on military relevant situations and topics. This includes a review of issues pertaining to traumatic brain injury (TBI), pain and pain management, sedation, depression, suicide, post-traumatic stress disorders (PTSD), and sleep related disorders. The module also includes the study of infectious and metabolic diseases that frequently involve the nervous system, neurodegenerative diseases, stroke, movement disorders, pathologic conditions involving the special senses, and developmental disorders.
