FLB 106 Typodont Course
The fundamental clinical skills necessary to practice comprehensive orthodontics are taught and demonstrated in this course. The students are introduced to pertinent techniques and skills; such as, archwire selection, wire-bending, band and bracket placement, use of auxiliaries, welding, and soldering. Both direct and indirect bonding techniques are demonstrated in the laboratory and clinic settings. The residents will be expected to "treat" a typodont malocclusion from the initial stage through to detailing and finishing.
