PMO 1014 Monitoring & Evaluation in Global Health
Students will discuss and demonstrate understanding of the history, evolution and a wide variety of case studies of the use of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) in global and public health interventions, especially those in crises and military humanitarian operations. The course will keep to a practical level, with in-class exercises and discussion during each session. Lectures will place an emphasis on effective planning, formative evaluation, and outcome assessment techniques, using the course director’s personal experience and examples from literature and DoD ‘lessons learned’ databanks.
