PED 4238 Child Advocacy/Child Abuse and Neglect
Unfortunately, child abuse continues to be a problem for all levels of society. Also, unfortunately, most providers feel intimidated and inadequately prepared to recognize abuse and how to manage its acute and chronic effects. How a provider reports incidents and interacts with the legal system provokes anxiety even in experienced clinicians. This rotation can alleviate some of those feelings providing you with the confidence to confront one of the harder aspects of medicine. See how to schedule this rotation on the Pediatric ACR Intranet Page.
