Overview

The program focuses on equipping Civil Affairs Medical Sergeants with the medical knowledge and skills to support military operational readiness. They provide specialized medical care to military personnel, ensuring they are healthy and prepared for deployments. They also work to minimize health risks posed by the local environments and populations that could hinder mission success. As part of Civil Affairs teams, they advise Commanders on health-related factors affecting mission planning and execution in crisis zones. The Global Community Health program is a 92-week instruction emphasizing routine, emergency, veterinary, and preventive medicine civil-military operations. It fosters critical thinking skills, adaptability, and teamwork via didactic instruction, virtual interaction, discussion, and hands-on training.
