OTA 2992 Clinical Practicum II
This is the second course of Level II Fieldwork which includes 40 full-time (8-hour) clinical training days – representing the second of two-Level II clinical rotations. OTA students are assigned to DoD Medical Treatment Facilities or civilian institutions to develop entry-level clinical skill competence under the supervision of an OTR or OTA. During this course (rotation), students may work with clients of all ages, with a wide range of injuries and/or disabilities as represented in the assigned OT practice area. This course supports satisfaction of Level II Fieldwork requirements of the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) and the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
