RCC 4165 Oral Pathology/Oral Histology Seminar II

The course is designed to present a wide spectrum of disease processes that manifest in the oral and maxillofacial anatomic region.  The material will be presented in lecture blocks and clinical pathologic conferences, each of 2 hours duration, and correlate to designated chapters in the text referenced below.  It is intended that the resident will be introduced to some new pathologic entities, but that much of the course material will represent a review of diseases previously studied elsewhere.  Emphasis will be placed on the clinical and radiographic manifestations of each condition; however, some correlation with microscopic findings is necessary to promote a better understanding of clinical behavior, treatment modalities, and prognosis of specific diseases.
