RCC 4180 Research Design and Statistics

The goal of this course is to provide students with the necessary background knowledge and understanding to design and execute a research project in satisfaction of CODA and USU requirements. Integral to research design is an understanding of basic concepts and methods of statistical inference in the biomedical health sciences. Upon completion of the course, students should be able to understand, interpret and critique the results of applying these statistical techniques in the health sciences literature. The overall objective of this course is to instill in students a practical understanding of research design and an appreciation for the role of statistics in the biomedical health sciences.
