FKA 124 Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology
Basic radiology principles related to digital imaging, quality control, computer monitor calibration, MiPACS, panoramic technique and radiation safety are presented, followed by an introduction to cone beam computed tomography (CBCT), how to review a CBCT and write an interpretive report in the first term. 3D anatomy of the skull base, paranasal sinuses, the nasal cavity and a variety of common CBCT findings are presented in the second term. Several quizzes, a mid-term exam and a final exam will be administered.
