NURS 6512 Advanced Diagnosis & Management in Pediatric Primary Care
This core course provides the foundation for advanced practice nurses (APRNs) to care for pediatric patients in primary care settings. Students will use critical-thinking skills to apply evidence-based practice to provide holistic family- and patient-centered care. Emphasis is placed on promoting health and wellness as students develop plans of care for pediatric patients across the spectrum of health, acute and chronic illness. Operational readiness and special considerations for pediatric patients in deployed, humanitarian and austere conditions are examined.
