RGF 5411 Introduction to Fixed Prosthodontics
First year residents are assigned a full gold crown (FGC) patient during the first three months of their residency training. Each resident will prepare a tooth for a FGC, fabricate a provisional restoration, obtain the final impression, perform all laboratory steps for the fabrication of the crown, and insert the restoration. The teaching method includes hands on clinical instruction supplemented by classroom lecture series given by staff.
