RGF 5422 Introduction to Complete Dentures II
Each second-year resident works with a first-year resident to fabricate a complete maxillary and mandibular denture for a mutually assigned patient. Each resident will make a set of complete dentures for the patient with the second-year resident providing the example for the first-year resident. The teaching method includes hands on clinical instruction supplemented by a complete denture lecture series given by staff. In addition to the second year resident being evaluated in the ability to treat the patient for a set of CDs, the resident is also evaluated in the ability to effectively guide the first-year resident in performing this treatment.
