MPO 505 Social and Affective Psychology

This 3-credit graduate level psychology course is designed to expose students to both classic and contemporary theories in social psychology, with a particular emphasis on affective bases of behavior. Students are expected to develop an appreciation for the foundations of social and affective psychology, and demonstrate the ability to apply affective theories to topics relevant to social psychology. This includes identifying key theoretical positions, engaging in critical discussion, and applying concepts to contemporary questions in the field.
