COMF 716 Operative Dentistry 1
This consists of didactic and clinical instruction in direct and indirect restorative materials , including CAD/CAM, as well as soft tissue management to restore health, function, and esthetics. Scheduled didactic sessions including lectures, case discussions, staff demonstrations, lab exercises, literature reviews, and resident case presentations are conducted. Residents also receive over 250 hours of clinic time (approximately three clinical session rotations per week) over the two years to enhance their operative dentistry skills and become proficient with a broad variety of operative dental materials and techniques.
